City on a Hill Church is led by an Elder Board. This board consists of Pastor GW Dameron and others who serve as Elders. Currently our Elders are Raymond Bender and Mark Campbell.
The Elder Board meets regularly to review pertinent details of the church – eg, finances, ministries, leadership, etc. Elders Raymond and Mark serve a vital role in the life of Pastor GW as well, encouraging him and holding him accountable to the Biblical standards of a Pastor.
While the vision of the church is shaped and directed by Pastor GW as the Lord leads him, the Elders are involved in the discussion of how new decisions impact the church fiscally and logistically. Unity is a priority in our church, so we seek common ground on every decision. We believe the Lord will provide unity in decisions that are of His will.
No decisions impacting our church are ever made without properly seeking God through prayer first. In some decisions, we believe it’s also important to involve our entire church family in the decision-making process. In these cases, we’ll host special business meetings for our church family to hear and discuss the details. Our church family will always be given an opportunity to pray before making any final decisions.
City on a Hill Church has in place a constitution and by-laws that dictate formal policy in many circumstances. We respectfully abide by these policies.
